Good morning friends near and far. At last it is starting to feel like spring....and so welcome this year with all that is going on in the world. I feel thankful that I have my art to keep myself somewhat sane. I do hope you all are keeping well and safe .... and sane ;)
I had a request from a co-worker, for a decorative hand made guest book. Sadly, his wife had passed away in January and he was planning a memorial service to be held in May, and wanted something nice for the guests to sign or comment in.
I set about picking some fabrics and embellishments to create the outside cover. I chose a crazy quilt patch to stitch and embellish as I really do love crazy quilting ... my favorite go to project.
And voila ... the front cover
and the back
The inside has a lace pocket and some simple linen paper attached
by a length of silk ribbon
This stitched up quite quickly and was assembled in less than a day, which kept me occupied on Good Friday.
I hope you have enjoyed my blog today.
Coming up next,
A Crazy Quilted Journal
