Welcome Spring

Good morning friends near and far.  At last it is starting to feel like spring....and so welcome this year with all that is going on in the world.  I feel thankful that I have my art to keep myself somewhat sane.  I do hope you all are keeping well and safe .... and sane ;)

I had a request from a co-worker, for a decorative hand made guest book.  Sadly, his wife had passed away in January and he was planning a memorial service to be held in May, and wanted something nice for the guests to sign or comment in.

I set about picking some fabrics and embellishments to create the outside cover.  I chose a crazy quilt patch to stitch and embellish as I really do love crazy quilting ... my favorite go to project.



And voila ... the front cover

The inside has a lace pocket and some simple linen paper attached 
by a length of silk ribbon



This stitched up quite quickly and was assembled in less than a day, which kept me occupied on Good Friday.
