Oh my, I see it's been awhile since I last posted. I received Sarma's round robin blocks on Friday. At first I was going to set them aside and have a good think on what to stitch. I have never attempted anything with an Asian theme so was a little bit out of my comfort zone with this one. When I was routing around in my charms on Saturday I came across some tiger charms and the light bulb went off. Perfect....for this project. She used the loveliest silks and satins and I hated to cover them up. I used a brown piece of lace to balance the brown in the opposite corner and stayed with black and gold metallic threads for the stitching. The stitching was done in a way to make your eye travel around the block in the same direction as the tigers chasing each other. I pulled all the colors together with a nice silk floral cluster. I hope it works for her.
